INTELECTUALES Y DIRIGENTES POLÍTICOS DEL MUNDO EXPRESAN SU APOYO AL CANDIDATO NICOLÁS MADURO

Intelectuales, activistas y dirigentes políticos de todo del mundo expresan su respaldo al candidato del Frente Amplio de la Patria, Nicolás Maduro, para las elecciones presidenciales del 20 de mayo.
La candidatura de Maduro representa la voluntad de lucha del pueblo venezolano y de los pueblos de América Latina y el Caribe, en contra de la injerencia estadounidense en el continente, expresaron los intelectuales en una nota de prensa, difundida por la vicepresidencia de Asuntos Internacionales del Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV).
Entre los que respaldan la candidatura de Maduro se encuentra el politólogo, catedrático y escritor argentino Atilio Borón, el Premio Nobel argentino Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, la lideresa latinoamericana Milagro Sala, de la agrupación indígena Túpac Amaru, la ex senadora colombiana, Piedad Córdoba y Alicia Muñoz, ex senadora y ex ministra de Gobierno del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia.
El periodista y dirigente del Partido Comunista de la Argentina (PCA), Jorge Kreyness, el dirigente del Partido Convergencia de Guatemala, Jorge Ismael Soto, también expresaron su apoyo al dirigente socialista.
El respaldo se da en el marco de la campaña "Todos con Maduro".
Para el escritor argentino Atilio Borón, es fundamental garantizar el triunfo de Nicolás Maduro en las elecciones del 20 de mayo, y resaltó que "es muy importante que esta victoria se produzca en medio de una inobjetable participación electoral".
Agregó que el "hecho de que haya candidaturas alternativas es muy importante para deslegitimar la estrategia sediciosa de la derecha regional impulsada por EEUU y obedecida en una apoteosis de su infamia por la derecha venezolana, que tiene por único objetivo derrocar a Maduro a través de la violencia".
Esquivel también celebró que la oposición esté participando en este proceso electoral, y señaló que "sólo se ha autoexcluido la derecha terrorista".
Resaltó que este proceso electoral "será el triunfo definitivo de la paz, pese a las políticas agresivas de EEUU, que está sometiendo a Venezuela a uno de los bloqueos económicos más dramáticos de la historia".
"Quienes apostamos por el diálogo, consideramos que la continuidad del gobierno de Nicolás Maduro es la garantía de una solución pacífica para la situación venezolana", agregó.
La ex senadora y ex candidata presidencial, Piedad Córdoba, indicó que las elecciones de este 20 de mayo en Venezuela son fundamentales para garantizar un espacio de paz en todo el continente.
"Tanto el presidente Hugo Chávez, como Nicolás Maduro, dieron un apoyo fundamental para lograr la resolución pacífica del conflicto armado en Colombia. Por ello, debemos de estar agradecidos con este pueblo hermano que hoy sufre un dramático bloqueo económico y político", señaló.
Por su parte, el periodista y dirigente del Partido Comunista de la Argentina (PCA), Jorge Kreyness, indicó que en medio de las "terribles campañas intervencionistas y amenazas dirigidas desde Washington, y con una burguesía local que se sigue resistiendo, algunos violentamente, a los cambios revolucionarios, impresiona el ejemplo democrático que da Venezuela al mundo".
Destacó que mientras en Argentina, Mauricio Macri, "ha hecho trizas las finanzas del país, entrega soberanía y reprime a la oposición", Maduro, profundiza medidas soberanas en todos los terrenos, que apuntan a dar salida a los problemas a favor de las mayorías populares.
El ex comandante guerrillero guatemalteco Pablo Monsanto (Jorge Ismael Soto), hoy dirigente del Partido Convergencia de su país, reivindicó la valentía del pueblo venezolano al no dejarse atemorizar por el imperialismo.
"Nosotros apoyamos la realización de estas elecciones y reconocemos en la candidatura del compañero Nicolás Maduro, la garantía de la continuidad de la Revolución Bolivariana y del proceso democratizador en marcha, con desarrollo económico y humano", aseveró.
Por su parte, La lideresa latinoamericana Milagro Sala, de la agrupación indígena Túpac Amaru, prisionera política del gobierno de Mauricio Macri, también expresó su apoyo a Maduro. A través de su asistente hizo llegar un mensaje, donde destacó que los comicios venezolanos son fundamentales para toda la Patria Grande. "Vivimos tiempos difíciles, donde la derecha avanza brutalmente sobre nuestros pueblos".
Resaltó que EEUU está castigando duramente al pueblo bolivariano con una guerra económica sin precedentes, "con la ayuda de la peor derecha de ese país que no soporta que los más vulnerables hayan levantado la cabeza y hayan conquistado sus derechos a partir del gobierno de Hugo Chávez primero, y con nuestro querido Nicolás Maduro, después".
"Queridos hermanos bolivarianos, sabemos desde estas tierras que están atravesando momentos difíciles. Pero no se dejen engañar. Los verdaderos responsables son los que quieren derrocar a Maduro para sumirlos en la peor de las pobrezas. Es lo que están haciendo Macri en Argentina, y el dictador de Temer en Brasil. Vayan a las urnas a demostrar que con organización popular venceremos", finalizó la líder indígena argentina en su mensaje.

Intellectuals, activists and political leaders from all over the world declare their support to Nicolás Maduro, candidate of the Frente Amplio de la Patria (Wide Front of the Fatherland) with a view to the presidential elections on May 20.
Maduro’s platform represents the fighting will of the Venezuelan people and peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean to oppose the meddling of the United States in the continent, wrote the intellectuals in a press release disseminated by the vice presidency of international affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV its Spanish acronym).
Among those who support Maduro as candidate are Atilio Borón, Argentinean political expert, university professor and writer; Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Nobel Prize, also Argentinean; Milagro Sala, Latin American woman leader of the indigenous group Túpac Amaru; former Colombian senator Piedad Córdoba, and Alicia Muñoz, also former senator and minister of Government of the Multinational State of Bolivia.
Jorge Kreyness, journalist and leading figure of the Communist Party of Argentina, and Jorge Ismael Soto, one of the leaders of the Partido Convergencia of Guatemala, also expressed their support to the socialist candidate Maduro.
Their support was granted as part of the campaign “All with Maduro”.
For the Argentinean writer Atilio Borón it is essential to ensure the triumph of Nicolás Maduro in the elections of May 20, underlining that “it is very important that this victory takes place in the midst of an unimpeachable election.”
He added that “the fact that there are alternative candidates is very important to discredit the seditious strategy of the regional rightist forces, driven by the United States and obeyed with tremendous infamy by the Venezuelan right, whose only purpose is to overthrow Maduro through violence.”
Esquivel was also pleased with the fact that the opposition is participating of this election, and pointed out that “only the terrorist right has excluded itself.”
He highlighted that this election “will be the definitive triumph of peace, despite the aggressive policies of the United States that is submitting Venezuela to one of the most dramatic economic blockades in history.”
”Those of us in favor of the dialogue are of the opinion that the continuation of Nicolás Maduro’s administration is the guarantee of a peaceful solution to the situation in Venezuela,” he added.
The ex senator and ex presidential candidate Piedad Córdoba indicated that the elections in Venezuela this May 20 are essential to ensure a space of peace throughout the continent.
”Both President Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro granted an essential support to achieve the peaceful solution to the armed conflict in Colombia. For that reason, we should be thankful to this brotherly people that today are enduring a dramatic economic and political blockade,” she pointed out.
In turn, Jorge Kreyness, journalist and one of the leaders of the Communist Party of Argentina (PCA its Spanish acronym), indicated that in the midst of the “terrible interventionist campaigns and threats conducted from Washington, and with a local bourgeoisie that continues to resist (in some cases, violently) the revolutionary changes, one is impressed by the democratic example that Venezuela gives to the world.”
He highlighted that while in Argentina Mauricio Macri “has destroyed the country’s finances, hands out the nation’s sovereignty and represses the opposition,” Maduro deepens sovereign measures in all sectors, aimed at solving the problems in favor of popular majorities.
The former guerrilla commander from Guatemala Pablo Monsanto (Jorge Ismael Soto), today one of the leaders of the Partido Convergencia of his country, praised the courage of the Venezuelan people for not allowing to be frightened by imperialism.
”We support these elections and recognize in comrade Nicolás Maduro’s candidacy the guarantee of the continuation of the Bolivarian Revolution and of the democratizing process it is undergoing, with both economic and human development,” he assured.
In turn, Milagro Sala, the Latin American leader from the Túpac Amaru indigenous group who is a political prisoner of Mauricio Macri’s government, also expressed her support for Maduro. Through her assistant she delivered a message highlighting that the Venezuelan elections are essential for the Big Fatherland. “We are living in difficult times, with the right brutally advancing on our peoples.”
She underlined that the United States is severely punishing the Bolivarian people with an unprecedented economic war “with the help of the worst rightist forces of that country, which cannot bear the fact that the most vulnerable ones have raised their heads and have conquered their rights, first with the government of Hugo Chávez, and later with our dear Nicolás Maduro.”
”Dear Bolivarian brothers and sisters: We know from here that you are going through difficult moments. But do not let them fool you. The truly responsible are the ones that want to overthrow Maduro and submit you to the worst poverty. This is what Macri is doing in Argentina and the dictator Temer is doing in Brazil. Go to the voting urns to show that with popular organization we will overcome,” the Argentinean indigenous leader ended her message.

El próximo día 20 de mayo, la República Bolivariana de Venezuela celebrara elecciones presidenciales.Contra toda campaña difamatoria, los procesos democráticos en Venezuela gozan de vitalidad y expresan con legitimidad la voluntad popular de un horizonte común para el pueblo.
En medio de amenazas permanentes de sanciones económicas, y hasta intervención militar por parte de los EEUU, las elecciones presidenciales del próximo domingo y la candidatura de Nicolás Maduro por el Frente Amplio de la Patria, significan una de las más importantes luchas de resistencia contra el imperialismo en el mundo.
Desde nuestra articulación internacional de movimientos populares, los invitamos a prestar solidaridad con la Revolución Bolivariana y las elecciones en Venezuela, a través de diferentes manifestaciones públicas que muestren nuestro compromiso solidario con el pueblo venezolano. Over permanent threats of economic sanctions, and even military intervention by the US, the presidential elections next Sunday and the candidacy of Nicolas Maduro for the Broad Front of the Homeland, mean one of the most important resistance struggles against imperialism in the world.
From our international coordination of peoples' movements, we invite you to lend solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution and elections in Venezuela, through different public demonstrations that show our commitment to solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
